About Us

Where the Wild Heart Meets a Rooted Spirit

Wild Elm Yoga was born from a simple belief: that a happy life requires a balance of adventure and resilience. "Wild" is our invitation to keep that playful, curious energy alive in your heart. "Elm" is our foundation—strong, unwavering, and rooted in love.

Inspired by the road less traveled amongst the world’s natural splendor, we’ve created a haven for those looking to flow with change rather than fight it.

Find Your Calm

We focus on down-regulating the nervous system to help you release the "noise" of daily life and create space for clarity.

For Every BODY

No "yoga body" required. Our practice is designed for humans of all shapes, sizes, and experience levels. Come as you are.

Search for Sanctuary

My journey with yoga didn’t begin in a pristine, mirrored studio; it began with a quiet, introspective search for a place to truly breathe. For a long time, I looked for a sense of peace that didn’t feel fragile – a strength that wasn’t rigid or forced, but deeply resilient. I found that mirror in nature, specifically in the silhouette of the Elm tree. An Elm stands firm against shifting winds, not by fighting the air, but by remaining rooted in the earth and flowing with the seasons. Wild Elm Yoga was born from this realization: A happy and healthy life requires both a Rooted Spirit and a Wild Heart.

Trained in the Sacred Valley of Peru, I earned my 200-hour yoga teacher certification from School Yoga Institute and am a proud member of Yoga Alliance. After graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications, I went on to become an award-winning journalist. I am also currently a Healing Touch (biofield therapy) student. For me, love and connection is what this human experience is all about.

My recovery journey is what first brought me to the mat and remains the embodiment of my teaching. Yoga and breathwork are the tools that helped me to finally listen to my body instead of trying to escape it. This journey ignited a passion to share these tools with others. Whether you are navigating the noise of daily life, stress, recovery, or mental health challenges, all humans need a way to find lasting calm, clarity, and connection.

I started this mobile studio to bring the sanctuary to you. Whether we are meeting for a local pop-up in the fresh air or a private session in your backyard, my mission is to help you regulate your nervous system and find peace. I believe yoga is for every BODY, regardless of life path or body type. There is no requirement to find the way home to yourself. At Wild Elm Yoga, we are not just practicing poses; we are building the resilience to stay centered in love, while making sure to have some soulful fun along the way.
